1 · Draft
First, the idea.
I start from what you ask for, and how you ask for it: who will use the site, what they need to find, what you need to manage. Then I work out the concept and put together a draft before writing a line of code.
Carlo Parente — web designer and developer
Every project starts with what the client needs: portals of every kind and complex sites, multilingual and accessible. I design what visitors see and custom-build the back end you run everything from.
1 · Draft
I start from what you ask for, and how you ask for it: who will use the site, what they need to find, what you need to manage. Then I work out the concept and put together a draft before writing a line of code.
2 · Grid
Sections, menus, content types and languages each find their place on a grid that holds up from phone to large monitor, even across hundreds of pages.
3 · Colour
Palette, typefaces and illustrations chosen around your brand, with contrast worked out so that everyone can read comfortably.
4 · Back end
Beneath the visuals I build the back end: custom content types, fields, roles and features, in a dashboard you manage without touching the code.
5 · Online
Fast, responsive and accessible, published on your own domain. After launch I stay on hand for new features and updates.
Work
From multilingual portals to galleries: each project opens in a new window. To find out how one was built, drop me a line.
Services
Portals of every kind, built around the people who'll use them: news, events, people, documents and galleries, organised so everyone finds what they're after straight away.
Content types, fields, roles, forms and features written specifically for you: the dashboard adapts to the way you work, not the other way round.
Sites in up to seven languages, fully accessible: they work from the keyboard and with screen readers, with contrast and text everyone can read.
Landing pages and galleries that put a business in front of people, with illustrations and scroll-driven animation that stays smooth on a phone too.
